Book Preview: "The Misadventures of Rooter and Snuffle"
In "The Misadventures of Rooter and Snuffle" two raccoon brothers rely on their faith to see them through difficult, and sometimes dangerous, times. They struggle to find the answers for themselves. And although these brothers may not always agree on everything, in the end they always care about each other. In "The Search" Rooter starts out searching for his favorite food and ends up searching for his missing brother, at night in the middle of a crowded campground.
In "Rooter's Rule" Rooter isn't fond of sharing with his little brother, until family and friends teach him a valuable life lesson.
In "Danger at River Bend" Rooter follows Slappy and Snuffle into danger against his mother's instructions. Then during a harmless game of rock skipping Snuffle falls in and Rooter watches helplessly as a whirlpool pulls Snuffle away from safety. Book also includes a puzzle page.

EXCERPT
His eyes grew wide with fear. Where was Snuffle? He ran to the creek. He peered up in the branches of the trees. He searched under every rock. He probed the hidey-hole of a gnarled old tree. Snuffle had vanished! Rooter wrung his little black paws. His whiskers twitched, and he squinted into the darkness searching...searching...but finding nothing.
There was one place he hadn't searched. He would need to be brave. Holding his breath, Rooter tiptoed into the tents where the campers slept. Softly, he patted each sleeping bag. He checked each lump and bump for sleeping baby raccoons. But he didn't find Snuffle.
