We sometimes feel no one else has ever had problems and no one would ever understand. After my book was published, I received letters from all over the world from readers who said I wrote about them, and their lives, with all the fears, and pain.

"Men Cry Too" is from a dark period of time in my life, but I continued to push forward. I'm not a philosopher, so I really don't have a reason why we should take a chance again. Yes, memories of our losses can be painful. But, in order to have had losses you had to have something or someone to lose. So, maybe the answer for all of us is to keep finding something/one as the clue to the meaning of life. The meaning of life should be to live for you. If you can't, during a difficult time, then live for something/one else! A great many of us live through all kinds of tragedies. Some ask the question, why continue for another day? I read newspapers and see from world reports hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc. where death tolls and injuries claim numbers I can't even compute. My personnel tragedies are just more added to so many. How and why do all those remaining continue on? I do know this much. For me it wasn't easy, but there is an answer. You go on because no one knows what death is. In life you have felt pain; in the future you may feel some satisfaction by contributing to others' happiness, saving someone's life, touching someone in need. Perhaps you will love again. Death may be eternal sleep where we are gone forever. Life gives us an opportunity for something/one to lose again and again.

Finally someone who has the ability to express the life we all seem to live. These are the ups and downs that either make us or break us. What a great book!

EXCERPT

Your love for me has wilted away and died

My favorite flower is the rose.
Just looking at its beauty takes my breath away.
You have been my rose through all these years.
As often as possible I would bring you a rose to share your exceptional beauty with.

Soon we will part and the tradition will end.

In its place, I offer you this gift, an enchanting glass rose, which will never die, as my love for you shall never die.
Your gentleness and kindness have improved on nature.
I thank you for your sweet tender touches and compassionate human patience.

I will never forget this harsh lesson.

Women must be treated with the same tender loving care as the rose:
I should have sprinkled you with love
I should have fertilized you with caresses
I should have sprayed you with affection
Kept you in the sunlight, which reflects your natural colors, more awesome than a rainbow.

The fragrance of your skin makes me feel dizzy;
Your eyes remind me of the delicate colors of soft petals;
Your smile, the sunlight required for growth;
Your legs, the long, stems;
Your face is that of a breath-taken flower with all its lovely dramatic features.
This arrangement captures what romance with someone special is all about.

You are precious, an exceptional women, and will remain in my heart for all eternity.
