Promises

Ciara Malloy, her finance Rico Rey, and his son Pablo, set sail from Puerto Rico for the Virgin Islands. A monster sea storm sinks their ketch. They are stranded on an island. After Rico dies from salt water in his lungs, Ciara learns a secret about Pablo that will change her life forever.

Adrift

Lillian Avery, an underwater photographer, sets out to photograph fish and underwater life at Ke`e Beach on the island of Kauai in Hawaii. She is caught in a powerful rip current that sweeps her out to sea. When she realizes she may never get back to shore, she photographs herself in case anyone should find her camera.

Reunion

Years later, Ciara, with her grandson Little Rico, finds Lillian, her former neighbor in Puerto Rico, and buys the shack next door to remodel, as Lillian had done. A hurricane decimates Kauai and Ciara is missing. Lillian had been entrusted with Ciara's memoirs. If true that Ciara has died, Lilly would learn the devastating secret about Pablo.
